I planned on playing through the whole PvE set once, taking my time and enjoying the story and the scenery, then moving on to PvP. Well, I am nearly done with the PvE game and have yet to unlock any superior runes of any type for any class. We aren't supposed to farm, so WTF are we supposed to do? Who do I have to go down on to unlock some damn superior runes?

So, if I understand correctly, they made it so now you should unlock stuff by playing through the game... I don't want to play through this whole damn game again! I just don't enjoy doing the same thing over, at least not without waiting a while. Oh maybe in 6 months or a year I will have forgotten enough of the storyline to be interested enough to go through again... until then I guess it's back to GTA: San Andreas.

I dunno if I just have really shitty luck as far as item drops, or maybe I just went through too early before they patched the drops....

at the time i finished the storyline (136 hours, yes i know, took me a while) i unlocked 1 superior water, and 1 superior fast casting. maybe youre just unlucky.

Buy an unidentified rune of your class... I think that's the only way :/

im not even half way done, got about.. 120 hours and im level 11... no runes yet!

I wish there were alternate storylines, not just ascalon > kryta > maguuma, etc. so you aren't doing the same stuff over again with new characters.

It is easier to save up the money and buy your superior rune from the rune trader than it is to actually find one.

Flaw in that? I think so.

I would say so... since the betas I have had 1 character slot saved for PvP. I have made 3 or 4 PvP builds just messing around - the idea being that PvP characters are disposable. They are not so disposable if I have to buy runes everytime I think of a new build I want to try.

Exp. Salv. the rune out and put it in storage...that usually works for me.

gotcha.. i never try and salvage a rune that i havenet already identified in the loot? does this increase the chance of the rune being something in your class or something? or save you from the disapointment that you didnt get the rune and didnt know what it was to begin with?

I'm at more of a loss, i power-played through the time before the patches, and i found no superior runes, and not even half of the major runes... I even farmed riverside... so don't worry, you're not the only one with crappy luck.

I've now beaten the game 2 1/2 times, and i just can't get through it again... but i found a place called "***", oh yea... sorry, i cant tell my new farming techniques, because they'll get a patch to ruin all forms of my getting money...

It's kind of funny... farming area's are now only let out on the black market of this game... i've asked around, then done some testing, and found another area that drops fine...

How else can i get my 15k armor? I mean... talk about a waste if you can't farm... i mean hell, i don't want to waste three weeks just to get one piece... i think if they make farming crappier, they should drop the price of these elite armors...

**Looks around-- Now they'll probably record what area's i enter over & over... crap...**

-- Oh yea, a clue sherlock, it's a certain mission that will normaly drop 1-2 rares EACH time (can't go alone, bring at least two henchies for the better drops... for some reason drops while soloing have been hacked down)... **Runs off to farm before it's nerfed**--
